Music Theory logo
These theory books were originally written by Margaret while teaching in the UK. They were designed to let more academically able students (or those who were not “beginners”) work at their own pace. The teacher can also use individual units of information as teaching material in the usual way.

The books are being updated, and given a New Zealand focus. Books 1 - 4 are complete. Book 5 is in progress, and the remainder will be updated as time permits (hopefully by the end of 2010)

The books contain practical and aural activities as well as written activities. Teachers should be able to adapt the material to fit in with their own music programmes.

Each book has revision exercises and a test. Book 1 also has an interactive power point with listening activities.
