This game starts with simple rhythms and progresses to those that might be found in the external standards for NCEA Level 1 and beyond.

The game is particularly useful as a fun way of reinforcing new rhythms as they are introduced. They are invaluable in reinforcing the concept that rhythms such as those pictured below are a “job lot” when transcribing rhythms or melodies.

Students are able to work individually, in pairs or in small groups.
